Dr. Mingu Lee appointed as a Non-Executive Board of bemyfriends

bemyfriends laid the groundwork for full-scale entry into the North American creator economy


October 18, 2021 - bemyfriends, a global fandom business solution startup that can be used in all business areas with a fandom, has appointed Dr. Mingu Lee, former Chief Business Officer (CBO) of Samsung SDS America as a Non-Executive Board. 
 

The firm announced that Dr. Lee was appointed a Non-Executive Board at the general shareholders' meeting held at the end of July. The term of office is 3 years.
 

With the release of b.stage, the D2C (Direct to Customers) solution of bemyfriends, it is expected that the company will be able to lay a foundation for full-scale advancement into the North American creator economy, and add rich experience to the management of the firm. 
 

Dr. Lee received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Ohio State University, a master's degree in information and communication systems from Johns Hopkins University, and a doctorate in systems engineering from George Washington University.
 

Dr. Lee served as the CTO of Lockheed Martin and joined Samsung SDS America in 2010 and led strategy and business development for about 11 years. He recently joined Cleveland Avenue, LLC, a venture capital firm, founded by former McDonald's CEO Don Thompson, that invests in food and beverage brands and technology companies that positively disrupt large and growing markets.  Dr. Lee is a Managing Partner.
 

bemyfriends is developing its own D2C (Direct to Customer) SaaS solution b.stage, which communicates directly with fans and enables everything from content sharing to profit creation in one place. Ecosystems such as payment and logistics are also continuously expanding through partnerships with NHN KCP, EXIMBAY, and Hanaro TNS. 
 

bemyfriends was established in January 2021, and b.stage is scheduled to be released at the end of this year.
