SEOUL, Korea - May 18, 2023 - bemyfriends has announced that it is supporting the fandom business of the US-based esports powerhouse team Sentinels, as part of its venture to accelerate the global fandom business in the United States.
Sentinels is an esports organization based in Los Angeles, USA, which has teams for games such as Valorant and Halo. As a longstanding Valorant powerhouse, the team has been contemplating sustainable business strategies for the longevity of the organization. While Sentinels has engaged with global fans through social media, the need for an exclusive and secure online space for players and fandom became clear. As a result, they were drawn to bemyfriends' fandom business model, which facilitates global two-way communication through IT technology and services, leading to them eventually choosing bemyfriends as their business partner.
Sentinels will operate its fandom business actively using the IT solutions and services developed by bemyfriends. As a first step, they will establish the membership platform ‘Sensociety (sensociety.gg)’, which will provide fans with access to benefits like exclusive content, community features, and merchandise. By joining the monthly membership tier, offered at $5 (approximately 6,600 KRW), fans will be able to view real-time uploads of photos, articles, comments by players, behind-the-scenes videos, proprietary content, never-before-seen photos, and more. Additionally, Sentinels intends to sell official team merchandise to fans around the world using the "Shop" feature on Sensociety.
