bemyfriends, Inc. (the "Company") has established and thereby discloses the following Privacy Policy to protect its users' personal information and handle complaints in an effective manner. 

 

This Privacy Policy applies to Users (hereinafter referred to as the "User") who wish to apply for employment with the company or make business-related inquiries.

 

1. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information

The company may collect and process Personal Information about the User for the following purposes. The Personal Information processed by the company will not be used for purposes other than what is stated here. If the purpose of use should be modified, necessary measures will be taken to obtain separate consent.

2. Personal Information Collected and Method of Collection

The company collects the following personal information.

In the process of using the Company's service, information such as service usage records, visit records, defective usage records, IP addresses, cookies, and device information may be automatically generated and collected.

The company collects Personal Information from the User through the User's own input method. In some cases, the Company may collect information in the form of a paper document or e-mail.

 

3. Storage and Use Period of Personal Information, Method of Destruction

In principle, the company destroys Personal Information without delay when the purpose of collecting or receiving Personal Information is achieved. However, if the Company obtains separate consent to keep storing and using the Personal Information, or the Company needs to keep the Personal Information according to relevant laws and regulations, the Company will continue to store and use the Personal Information safely within the scope of its purpose.

The Company's Personal Information retention period is as follows.

  • Information about the User's application history is destroyed after being stored for 3 years from the date of application to check the application history and limit re-application for those who failed the interview.
  • Inquiries we receive will be stored for 3 years from the date of receipt and subsequently destroyed.

The company destroys the information in the following ways, depending on the type of information stored.

  • Printed Information: Shredded or incinerated.
  • Electronically Stored Information: Destruction by initialization or overwriting to prevent data from being restored.
 

4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

The Company does not provide personal information to Third Parties without the User's prior consent. However, if the User directly consents to the provision of personal information to use the service of an external partner, the obligation to submit Personal Information arises per the relevant laws, or an imminent risk to the User's life or safety is identified that needs to be resolved, the Company will provide Personal Information to Third Parties for these stated purposes.

When concluding a consignment contract, the Company specifies in writing matters related to responsibility, such as the prohibition of personal information processing for purposes other than the consignment work, technical and administrative protection measures, re-consignment restrictions, management and compensation for damages, and supervises whether the trustee handles personal information safely. 

If the nature of the consignment work or the trustees change, the Company will disclose it through this Personal Information Processing Policy without delay.

 

6. Rights and Obligations of the User and Its Legal Representatives and How to Exercise Them

The User can exercise their rights toward the company at any time by requesting access to Personal Information, correction, deletion, and suspension of processing.

These rights can be exercised by the User toward the Company in writing, e-mail, etc., and the company will take action without delay. 

This can be done through an agent, such as the User's Legal representative, or a person who has been delegated. In this case, a power of attorney must be submitted. 

The User's right to request access to and suspension of processing of Personal Information may be restricted in accordance with relevant laws. 

Requests for correction and deletion of Personal Information cannot be fulfilled if the Personal Information is specified as the subject of collection in other laws and regulations. 

The Company checks whether the person who makes requests for access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing of Personal Information according to User Rights is the actual User or a legitimate agent acting on their behalf.

 

7. Measures to Ensure the Safety of Personal Information

The Company takes the following measures to ensure the safety of the Personal Information. 

  • Management Measures: Establishment and implementation of internal management plans, regular employee training, etc.
  • Technical Measures: Management of access rights to Personal Information Processing systems, installation of access control systems, encryption of unique identification information, and installation of security programs.
  • Physical measures: Control of access to computer rooms, data storage rooms, etc.
 

8. Installation, Management, and Rejection of Cookies

The Company uses 'cookies' that store and retrieve user information from time to time in order to provide personalized services to the User. Cookies are small text files sent to the User's browser by the server used for the operation of the Company's websites and will be stored on hard disks of the User's computer.

Cookies are used to provide optimized information to the User by identifying the types of visits and service use, websites visited by the user, popular search words, security access, etc.

The User has the option of installing cookies. Through settings in their web browser, the User may choose to allow all cookies, check each time a cookie is saved, or refuse to save all cookies.

Users can contact the person or department in charge of Personal Information protection with inquiries related to protective measures, complaint handling, and damage compensation. The Company will respond to and handle inquiries from the User without delay.

 

10. Remedies for Infringement of Rights and Interests

The User can apply for dispute resolution or consultation with the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee, Korea Internet & Security Agency Personal Information Infringement Reporting Center, etc., in order to receive remedies for infringements.
